Mission Statement: To Graduate Productive Citizens.

Holloway High School is a non-zoned 9-12 school that utilizes the 4 X 4 block schedule and night school to provide accelerated learning. The mission of Holloway is to graduate productive citizens. By providing an atmosphere of accountability and community spirit, Holloway has become an institution of excellence and inspiration to many who otherwise would not graduate as productive citizens.

The No Child Left Behind--Blue Ribbon Schools Program awarded Holloway High School as a Blue Ribbon School in 2006. The Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private K-12 schools that are either academically superior in their states or that demonstrate dramatic gains in student achievements.

Holloway High School's accomplishments include being recognized as one of twenty-five National Model Schools nationwide and as a participant in a project sponsored by the Council of Chief State School Officers, Washington, D.C., and the International Center for Leadership in Education. Holloway joined 400 other schools in the International Center's Successful Practices Network.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can my child enroll?

The most common enrollment dates are in August or the first of January. Limited enrollment is available in October and March. Holloway is on a 4 x 4 block schedule.  Many other schools are on a six-period day.  Schedules don’t align and credits are lost if transfers are made at a non-productive time. Holloway seeks to enroll students at a time they can be successful.

When should I send in the Referral Form?

As soon as your child has an interest in enrolling.  Students will interview in the spring and summer for fall enrollment.  Earlier is better than later.

Why should my child enroll at Holloway?
  • Behind in credits
  • Lost in a large school setting
  • Legitimate need to graduate early
  • Can benefit from an environment focused on self-discipline, teamwork, respect, productivity, and setting/achieving goals
  • Does not require direct services in special education (consulting classification is usually productive)
  • Wishes to earn credits and graduate on time

Can my child earn credits faster?

Yes.  Holloway students can earn 8 credits in a nine-month school year. An additional 1 to 4 credits can be earned at night school. A plan is developed for each student based earning a credit for every class enrolled in at Holloway High School.

Is Holloway an accredited High School?

Yes.  Holloway is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
